highlights from ep meeting on november 9th

practice has been going at full speed... team is preparing to leave for british columbia on thursday november 19th for the game against simon frase on friday november 19th... the anticipated game against san diego in on tuesday november 23rd, brad holland is expected a warm welcome from fellow titan fans... Being picked by the coaches and media to finish 5th in the western division is an insult...

highlights from ep meeting on october 12th

daniel thompson was our guest this time. daniel is adapting to college life at csuf and america. he's rooming with mitch devé. daniel is from adelade, his parents are in the financial consulting business, he has an older brother and an older sister. when asked who is he fighting with for a spot on the starting line up, daniel replied with no hesitation, "brandon campbell". btw, daniel is cleared with the clearing house and will play.
hawk reported that he had not found a 3rd assistant yet, but something will happen before the season starts.
the raffle is around $40K range and hawk plans to use the proceed toward upgrading the office for the coaches. last year's proceed went on to upgrade the team room, which looks very big-time.

highlights from ep meeting on september 7th

mark murphy was the guest and in attendance was chris st. clair. the saint is in his 2nd year as a teacher and basketball coach at his alma mater, sonora high school... as for murf, when asked how does he forecast the season, his reply was "20-win"... yeah baybee!!! murf also said that he played agaisnt mike bibby in high school and this past summer, hawk asked him whether bibby could guard mark :)
hawk's report: school is in its 3rd week and players are back into pre-season conditioning and free play twice a week... unfortunately patrick ceresa was declared ineligile by the ncaa, eventhough he was registered with the clearing house and it could have notify him earlier... the good news is that aussie import danny thompson, a 6-4 swing man is in school and appeared to have all the criteria met for eligibility to compete... danny kohn, a 6-7 transfer from umass-lowell has been with the team since school has started... he came around during summer open gym and impressed the coaches during that time to earn a scholarship... put in there that he has to sit out this season because of transfer rules... earlier walk-ons keith cole from san jacinto jc received a scholarship from chaminade of honolulu (yes, that school that upset virginia, louisville and kentucky in the 80's) and is attending the hawaiian campus... nelson batiste, the walk-on from fjc will not be going to csuf... ike harmon may have another year if he graduates this year, under prop 48, an athlete can regain that year of playing eligibility if he takes 4 years to complete the degree... so the roster looks like this:

kenroy jarrett
mark murphy
brandon campbell
ike harmon
matt caldwell
josh fisher
rodney anderson
mitch devé
danny thompson (adelade, australia)
john stoa (whittier christian hs)
danny dinh (pacifica hs)
josh pierson (laguna hills hs)
james hackett (azusa hs/delta jc)
ahmad shamin (redshirt frosh/walk-on)
danny kohn (umass-lowell)

august 10th meeting's minutes
the hawk is upbeat about this upcoming season. with 5 returning starters kenroy jarrett, mark murphy, matt caldwell, brandon campbell and all-conference ike harmon and a strong supporting cast from josh fisher and mitch devé, topping with a new swiss import patrick ceresa and incoming freshman rodney anderson from washington hs in los angeles, the titans look to take over the western division of the big west. ceresa met the grades and test scores to play immediately (don't buy what lon eubanks wrote in the l.a. times last week). the hawk expects to sign 2 more players before school starts. he also has 5 quality walk-on players who should contribute a good share of competition.

The 5 walk-ons:
john stoa, G, whitter christian hs
                        danny dinh, G, pacifica hs
josh pierson G, laguna hills hs
keith cole, G/F, san jacinto jc
   		 	nelson bastiste, F, fullerton jc
